I used this on a ship junior loft bed and it was very short. Kids dont notice so win win. I explained to kiddos this thing is cry fragile based off of reviews so its for appearance but not for touching. It has many pockets which again I explained just for sight not for use. The portion facing the wall we put on the inside under the loft bed and it adds for a lovely mural. We currently have a toddler bed mattress and a Disney character bed for a soft play area for the kiddos SO happy!
It should last if minimally handled.
