Pretty and inexpensive A few times a year we have MASSIVE gatherings for holidays and decided to convert our unused finished basement into a bunkroom for guests. We quickly figured out that after putting couples into the guest rooms upstairs for privacy we were usually putting single person parties down into the bunkroom and we wanted to upgrade accommodations from air mattresses to beds, and twins were more cost and space efficient than queens so doing bunks just made sense. I ordered two of these, both in black, twin over twin. The boxes were both beat up when they arrived but the pieces inside were 100% untouched. I dont understand the complaints about assembly because i put both of these together by myself in less than 2 hours with ease- i would recommend using a power drill with a hex attachment if you have it to make life super easy. I bought an additional hook on ladder for the second bunk but i may still wind up using the included ladder because it feels like it adds to the overall stability of the beds. Frames are lightweight enough to move with ease but heavy enough to be sturdy. I purchased 6 bamboo gel mattresses to luxe up the simplicity of the frames. This took my bunkroom from sleeping 5 to sleeping 8 so overall Im pleased. The low profile is fantastic for lower ceilings but you dont feel like the top bunk is crushing the bottom bunk. These will only get used a few times a year but Im hoping to get good longevity out of them.
