I got this for my granddaughter, and she loves it! I helped mom put it together, and yes, it goes much easier with two people. it was not difficult to put together, but there are a lot of pieces to it. you will definitely need a hammer as well. Once we got it together, it was beautiful. the paint is nicely done, the instructions were pretty good as well. the knobs on the top need to go on AFTER you get the top rails on though. that was the only flaw in the instructions that i could see. the bed itself is very sturdy, and i hope that it will last a long time.
