First — not a 30 minute build. Not difficult but not 30 minutes. My frustration came at the final step when I needed to screw in the underside support for the mattress. There were no holes or even marks for direction. I did not have a drill as it was not an item ever mentioned as even being helpful. So I did the screws by hand and they split the metal and didnt lay flat. Im not a carpenter but have done my share of furniture and metal work. This was a flaw in the manufacture. Unfortunate because up to that point I was happy with the purchase.
30 minutes was over 2 hours using tools provided and a screwdriver.
Bed is cute. I hope it is sturdy.
