The corners arent very sharp but Id say this isnt for clumsy kids. It was really easy to assemble and all the parts were present and fit together easily. Absolutely seems sturdy for normal sized people and the bars underneath are close enough to definitely not need a boxspring or board. Probably no memory foam mattresses on either bed position. Dont recommend it for carpeted rooms unless you dont roll the trundle out often. It does roll but its more effort than youd want to expend twice a day every day. Wheels seem rounded so I think they would be fine for harder surfaces provided theyre kept free of debris. Wood slats are plastic but look fine, no strange smells. It also feels sturdy but is definitely lightweight in case you have to move around a lot. Good purchase, will be back if I need any more beds Worth a buy.
