This is a revised review as my previous one was a one-star due to the fact that you need a second person to just hold things tight before you can even use screws.
It took me about an hour to assemble what I could say is an adult version of Jenga as the slightest movement would cause over 20 pieces to fall apart...so I used painters tape to hold in the slats and once the top of the sides were done...use more painters tape to wrap around several places and hold everything together before you move on to the other parts.
Another tip...dont throw away that huge styrofoam block yet...use it when assembling the back railing as you can prop up the lower back railing that way.
Bottom line...annoyed because of so many small pieces used to create bigger pieces that then get used to assemble the rest of the bed.
Overall the bed looks solid afterwards...minus 1 star because mine came with a dent in one of the pieces AND two of the pieces were mistagged but the instructions showed the correction.
If you want to go with a foam mattress...try going to Home Depot/Lowes and getting a very thin piece of plywood and have it cut 74 x 53.5 to fit a full bed. And then looking at foam mattresses you can go with a 8 inch foam that will allow you an extra inch for a topper if you desire...but the thicker the mattress...the smaller the bed looks.
ONE-PERSON ASSEMBLY: Buy some Painters Tape!
