Very nice bed for sleepovers in a post/pandemic world!
This is a terrific bed for a pre/teen boy who is excited to be able to have friends sleep over after a long year+ of quarantine. It was relatively easy to put together and looks very nice assembled. Very nice color, a sophisticated dark charcoal gray.
You do need a thinner mattress on the top bunk or the rails will not be that effective. We have a thicker twin mattress on top that came from a previous bed, and so there is not much holding the child in. Due to that, the top bunk may not be as safe with a thicker mattress if you have a younger child who may roll out. For a bigger kid, not such a big deal.
Overall, were pleased with the bed, and our son is thrilled to have company overnight again! This was a nice way to celebrate the retreat of the pandemic, and also acknowledge our son for all hes had to give up in the past year plus. Be sure to have it
