Good height and good size from mattress to top of rail for kids. Not bad to put together. Love the way it looks in our daughters room. Was disappointed that the box and shipping material was not the best for how heavy the box was. The box was extremely beat up when delivered (also on the delivery people) but it did have a small section that was damaged on the desk. That is the only reason for giving it 4 stars. Exceeded my expectations
