Assembly is easy (if you follow ALL the instructions). I bought the chair more as a space filler for a bedroom, but it is actually really comfortable and sturdy and looks and feels like its worth more than what I paid. Also, when assembling it make sure you dont tighten everything until the end. or youll have long night. I totally recommend it
