Great bed if you have some basic carpentry skills to reinforce the flimsy deck.
Bed looks great and is sturdy enough but for one minor issue. I read the reviews before I bought the bed and so I ordered some heavy duty drawer slides. After it showed up I could see that the slides that came with it did have a cheap look to them but in all honesty I think they would have been ok. The one problem we did have was that as soon as I got the bed made and put a matress on it, I sat right on the area that everyone talks about and went right through the thin base. I had some thin OSB board in the garage and replaced the base and then I just used some construction adhesive to add a small strip of wood along the edge where it lacks adequate support. The bottom line is that I would buy this again but I am disapointed in the company for not fixing this problem that just about every buyer seems to have with it. (I had no problems with the matching headboard and would encourage you to get this item too as it really comes together well. I love this!
