Not real wood but very sturdy (laminated mdf). Comes with blue pen to cover knicks and dings. Have had ours for about a year and so far have not even needed to use the marker. Being used by rowdy 3 year old boy so its holding up well. Drawers do not line up perfectly. Will be ordering more.
