Its a very nice hybrid of a shelf and lamp. It does feel a little flimsy and you probably wont be able to hold anything super heavy but what I bought it for I didnt need to use it for heavy objects. Im using it as a nightstand/shelf/ lamp and I love how narrow it is and modern looking. The light itself has 3 settings, light, medium, and super brightness. Im very happy with my purchase and think that the price is justifiable for what your getting. Perfect.
