Seems sturdy and will accomodate an overnight guest, but is very, very firm and I could never sleep on it. I am buying a memory foam pad to put on top, and hopefully that will help. But in a small room like I have, this meets a need, and the ottoman is still functional when the bed is not in use. The metal legs DO show between the skirt sections, so I threw a small blanket over to help mask that. It was easy.
