    Not difficult to assemble

I am a 76/year/old woman and I was able to put the bed and trundle together without any help. The package is very, very heavy, so I did have a neighbor put the box in the room where I planned to assemble the beds. I worked on them in three or four sessions over the course of two days and managed very well. I will admit to sitting and puzzling over the directions a few times. The bed seems sturdy. There are a few cosmetic blemishes in the steel, but they are not terribly obvious. My suggestion to others who assemble these beds is to not tighten down the bolts completely until you have each bed assembled. Once or twice I had to go back and loosen a bolt to get a support piece into its spot. Last year I ordered two twin beds of this same brand and assembled those myself. Now that I have the twin with trundle also, I will be able to accommodate all four grandchildren in a proper bed. I have not yet purchased mattresses, but I plan to put a 12 inch on the top bed and an 8 inch one on the bottom.
