It took me 10 minutes to assemble. It rocks nicely not hard at all. I have carpet so it didnt slide much. It is huge which is nice for breastfeeding. Looks great in my sons room. The smell was typical of a factory, nothing Id worry over. Seems like a pretty solid piece though I wouldnt plop down on it. All in all great purchase!
