Others have complained about creaking when someone sat on it. I do no have that issue. First some background on myself. I have been a professional craftsman for over twenty five years. When I opened the box for the two stool set, I was at once happy with the packaging. All parts were well protected and in very good condition. After reading the assembly instructions, I decided to follow my own sequence. The instructions would have you attach the back to the seat, then attempt to assemble the legs on an unstable platform. I first assembled the leg assembly on my work bench. While the instructions do assume that the bolts will do all of the work, and the construction is quite good, being a professional craftsman I decided some glue on the base joints would add both strength and stability to the joints.
So with the leg assembly solidly assembled I attached the back to the seat and then the leg assembly to the seat. I assembled the stools by myself. While I am an experienced craftsman, using the following sequence any one person could assemble these stools. The glue I used is called Roo and is available at your local hardware store.
Over all I am very pleased with the quality of the material, the construction methods, and the overall outcome of the end product.
3/4/22 Update. These stools are holding up very well. Gluing the base joints has made these stable and quiet. FYI
Good value for the money
