    Gets the job done

Although extending a twin bed to a king size bed can be practical, it is not without its drawbacks. The most prominent and potentially dangerous issue is the pronounced protruding edge that remains when the bed is in twin form. This edge does not fully fit the bed and mattress in twin form, which can create a gap where children may get stuck. If the mattress is moved to cover the protruding edge, there is a line hole the same length as the bed on the backed side, which can pose a risk to young children.
