My girls, 2 and 4, love their bunk bed. I love how low it is...I'm 5'5...it's about chest high for me. It definitely should of came with more slats, especially for the top bunk.. We added more. We also wrapped the metal bar under the top bunk in pipe foam. I then covered the top slats in a star and cloud fabric. My girls love it! The top railing isn't very sturdy, but it's not necessarily a safety issue. We check it frequently. Overall it's a nice bunk, a space saver, and a decent price.
