We purchased this ottoman a few months back to use as a foot rest in our living room. We can get a bit rough on our furniture and though we haven't thrown this through a wall or anything, it is definitely built sturdy. It is comfortable to sit on and it stores everything we were hoping it would. An excellent purchase.
