I love this hassock!! If you tap a pic youll see I did not add on the legs. I wanted the footstool to be a bit lower as my legs get painful if I keep them raised too high! The feet add about 3 inches to the hassock so I checked the bottom of my footstool for any hard or sharp edges, and found none. I can easily and safely slide the footstool a. I put the legs inside the section in case I want to add them on at a later time. The top of lid does not slide off on mine. I read some reviews where it did. To me the top is kind of heavy and hard for me to handle so for now the only thing in is the legs or feet. They are a beautiful unblemished and will add to the look of your hassock if you choose to apply them they just screw on. The bottom of the feet has a hard disc on them and I think its easier to rearrange the hassock and move it about without the feet! All my furniture is pretty much solid colors so I chose the paisley design and love it!! Its a very nice size the pic of my feet shows you its plenty wide. And all the colors are neutrals. Arrived intact. On the bottom side of the top section there are 4 small post to help keep the lid on the bottom section. A great buy and Im a satisfied customer!
