I dont know what everyone else bought, but this chair is great.

So, I normally dont write reciews here, but I felt that I should since this was a clear gamble on my part based on other reviews of this chair. First of all, I feel that a lot of people have no idea what theyre buying. This isnt a recliner that looks like a wingback chair. This is a wingback chair that reclines. Its not going to be a big squishy marshmallow of a ly boy. Its a solid, firm chair that is comfortable to sit in and recline. You recline by pushing forward on the arms and leaning back. Its not rocket surgery. Second, its a solid chair. I dont know how some people ended up with a wobbly one, but mine doesnt budge an inch after putting everything together. It took about 20 minutes. You put the feet on, flip it up and carry the base wherever you want it to live, then you bolt the wings on to the separate back piece and slide it down onto the base. Boom. Chair assembled. Third, Im 63 and weigh 220lbs. This chair didnt buckle when I sat down on it. I can recline and have my feet properly elevated and lay my head back. A pillow may be nice, but I dont feel its necessary. People have written about the chair being small. The picture I have uploaded is of it sitting in my study next to a vintage wingback chair that I threw in there until I got this first one set up and had a chance to try it out. As you can see, the newer one is actually larger. Fourth, no bugs. I wouldve probably burned my apartment down. To conclude: so far this chair is actually pretty great. I was expecting a mediocre offering that would do in a pinch and last me a year or two, but it feels solidly made and is rather heavy. Even the back piece feels sturdy despite how light it is. Ill be ordering a second one to replace the old wingback and make a matching set, and, since I have other places in the apartment where I can have sex and dont have kids running around jumping on them, Im confident theyll last a long time.
