I needed it for several reasons.I wanted it for storage, my husband wanted it so he could sit when putting on socks and shoes and most importantly, something to help my elderly cat get on and off our bed. It serves all our purposes and it is elegant looking and very sturdy. It really dresses up our bedroom.
