Purchased this bed because the lower bunk is practically on the floor (perfect for toddler) and the top bunk isnt too high for my older 6yr old son. It took my husband less than 3 hours to build everything. Our mattresses fit perfectly. I used a twin 6 on bottom, and an 8 twin up top. Everything came together so well! Great value for money, easy to assemble, and super sturdy! I climbed up myself several times to make the bedding and rearrange the wall hangings. And our trofast makes a perfect additional staircase!
Also, I purchased when the price was about $100 less than the original cost, which is a nice bonus.
It was too heavy in the original box, so we had to move it around by piece. No complaints since we ended up with a great, sturdy bed!
