In order to lay back we have to throw ourselves backwards violently several timeswhich looks ridiculous. Its that or someone lift the bar for you. Im still on the fence about keeping this chair to be honest. At over $100 spent- you expect better results. Once inverted- its comfortable for a spell, but the fabric doesnt breathe well. Just sitting upright you have to scoot your bottom to get the maximum seat advantage otherwise you look and feel slumped. Its also heavyso I cant imagine trailing this like a camping chair.
