It was smaller than I thought and certainly a larger person couldn't use it much. Chair back is 28 high, front is 17 high. It's lightweight and I carried it upstairs without any problems. It could work for young adult/childs room but certainly not for living room type furniture. I needed something small for my bedroom and I'm the only person going to use it and i'm not big. The people who are complaining about it...come on...it's only $150 vs $500 for a sturdy larger chair. It's a good value for what I was wanting.
UPDATED: My husband thought I looked like I was in time-out when I sat in it. I decided to buy 10 wooden legs ($23 set of 4 on ) to replace the chair legs. I also painted all of them black and it looks so much better!
Good for what I wanted
