It was a fun project for my 10 yr-old to put together with me. I am especially impressed with room between the two bunks! I can sit in there without hunching (though I am only 53). The corner posts are one long post, I wanted a bed that we could make two later, however since it is one post I think that it is sturdier. The lower score for sturdiness is that I can not safely climb up on the top bunk...because the whole bed starts to tip....but I dont think grown-ups were the ideal candidate to be climbing up and down. ;) The bottom appears to have enough room for many storage bins, but I havent got there personally yet to do that, but my girls love playing under it for now. LOL. Overall it is a great bed and it seems like it is going to hold up for a while! And I also love the color!!!
