We bought this bed to house our newly purchased king size mattress. Installation was simple and the bed is sturdy enough. However, there is 1 major flaw to the bed. Because of the way the support slats lay across the center frame, the mattress has a hump from top to bottom all the way down the center. If the slats were flattened in the center of each of them (where they overlap the center support beam this would not be an issue. I seriously am considering a return, however, for now, weve placed hardwood felts (about 3/16 inch thick) on all 6 outer legs so that the center will sag and remove the jump. This should fix our problem, but still, it wouldnt have to be done this way if the bed was properly designed and engineered in the first place.
