it took me and my boyfriend less than an hour to put this together, and we are not the handiest of people haha. I really loved that the slates had velcro so they wont be able to move around. Yes the actual box itself was heavy, but once assembled its easy to move around to the position you desire. This is our second bed frame and i will continue to purchase them. if you are hesitant on the purchase, dont be.
