The wood is pretty soft as I expected but decent quality
The chairs are well worth the price I paid for them. The low price means their a bit smaller than would be typical an adirondack chair, but its a reasonable compromise. The wood is pretty soft as I expected but decent quality. Assembly instructions are clear and the design is good. The chairs fold nicely and are generally not too wobbly. My suggestion for making assembly go smoother is, include a real wrench and replace the Philips head bolts with Roberts head bolts. The cheapo wrench they include is a total waste. The nylon locking nuts are so firm that even with a good socket wrench theyre very hard to tighten up. Secondly, with nuts this firm, it is far too easy to strip the head on a Philips. The only solution is a Roberts head bolt. It can still be assembled with a Philips screwdriver, but you have to be very deliberate and use much more pressure than should be required.
