I really like these swivel barstools. Assembly was easy and although it says not to use power tools for assembly, I used an electric screwdriver with various bits and it worked spendidly. I was careful not to overtighten any of the screws and the chairs turned out feeling sturdy. You get to choose the height and we opted for the shorter height which works with our island counter overhang. I will say that once you choose the height, it wont be easy to change your mind. The plugs that go into the bottom only go one way and once they are in, theyre in. I didnt like that there were random metal shavings, almost everywhere during assembly. The shavings must have been inside the tubes from drilling and they kept making their way out. I even found a sharp piece of metal, though small, lodged in the cushion of one of the chairs. I was able to get it out but I would say that you may want to assemble these in a garage or basement instead of in your kitchen if that is where youre planning to use them.
They look great once assembled. One of the chairs doesnt sit square on the floor and there is no way to adjust leg lengths to fix this. I would have liked the adjustable screw feet that prevent this wobble problem. The feet are just plastic half circles. Not really impressed with that but overall, I really like the set.
Nice looking but
