Ive had this for a few days now. I wish they were more specific about headboard attachment because my headboard cannot attach as they only offer the bolt in attachment and mine is a hook in so Ill have to figure something out.
But without the headboard the thing is COMPLETELY silent. We already had a frame before but it was mostly wood and even after taking the box spring off and adding a bunkie board it still made some noise. That wasnt the reason for this purchase but it is an added bonus. The reason for the purchase was because we purchased a 14 mattress and the footboard on the old frame made it hard to make the bed because it was uncomfortable trying to make the bed and trying to tuck the sheet under the mattress in that tiny space the footboard provided so I was looking for a frame that didnt require a footboard but allowed me to keep my headboard.
A lot of reviews have talked about this being ideal for fat people. My husband and I are averaged size people and it works great for us. None of the pieces were bent and everything was in decent condition. The only thing I didnt care for was how beat up the packaging and instructions were very crumpled.
I read several reviews on all kinds of frames and some were said that these kind of frames dont stand up to even average adult activity. We havent had the chance to try that out yet as my husband has already been working 12 hours a day 6 days a week but I will update this review if something bad happens that way everyone will know something went wrong. It does seem really sturdy though and like its not going anywhere.
The mattress doesnt slide, it doesnt sag. It fits the mattress perfectly with little to no excess room.
Several reviews said how dangerous this bed was with bruised shins and broken toes. It had me prepared to buy pool noodles and corner guards. Im not sure if these people are new to owning a bed frame but Ive yet to stub or scrape anything. Nothing feels overly sharp. The middle bottom bar on the floor would really be my only concern but thats only because I didnt have that on my previous frame but like I said Ive yet to hit it and I walk around my room in the pitch black dark.
Anyway, if this review is helpful to you, give it a like.
I would purchase again
