So far it seems sturdy. It has a lot of support. However, I bought a king size for my king size mattress. The frame is too long my like 10 inches!!! We left a gap near the headboard to try to even it out so we shouldn't trip on the footboard or have things fall under the bed as bad. We will at some boint paint a peoce of wood to fill the gaps.
