as described, lots of little plastic parts. Steal is super thin and soft with lots of flex. If you have kids and they jump on the bed this will not hold up. Surprisingly the box it came in was totally destroyed but the product somehow survived with minimal scratches. If you just need a budget bed for a guest room then this is 100 a good deal. Bed frame came with extra fasteners/parts so thats a plus for sure. I wouldnt recommend a spring mattress due to the cross slats being very small bars. We went with a 12 spring/foam hybrid mattress from lucid and it fits perfect and is comfortable.
