I was having a hard time finding outdoor chairs that I liked but werent too expensive. Saw the awesome reviews for these and thought they were worth a try!
I took the time to dismantle all the pieces and lightly sanded the chair legs and applied three coats of Watco Teak Oil on them. Figured it would help protect them from the weather, and also warm up the legs to better match my teak colored table. The plastic seat is well described by another reviewer as a grade school chair. Will see how they wear but excited since they look nice! Sat on them for a few hours twice now and they were comfy and stable.
There were lots of questions about sanding on this item so posting a photo of how the legs looked at each stage. Hope it helps someone else!
There were also reviews about adding locking washers to the screws that affix the chair to the legs, but they were provided in my kit. Oh yeah, the large washer/spacer is already on the bottom of the chair so dont get confused by the four extra in the red bag! I see some reviews of people slipping out of it, but there is an orientation of the front of the chair that is shown in the assembly instructions. Make sure you follow that so it supports you correctly.
