    Looks Good So Far!

I bought a pair of these beds to replace the worn out, broken down wood frame beds for my boys. Theyre both a lot bigger and heavier now so I wanted sturdy steel beds and these seemed to be a good value. The beds arrived sooner than advertised, and the boxes were intact and in good shape. Upon opening, I noted all pieces were inside plastic sleeves to prevent scratching, plus two bags of assorted hardware and the instruction booklet. Right off let me say the booklet did not have instructions specific to how to bolt together the center longitundinal support to which the center legs are attached, however, by that point in the construction process, it wasnt hard to figure out how to finish it up. The bed certainly seems sturdy and when bolted up, very rigid. Having many cross/pieces, the bed doesnt need a box spring at all. Also, the cross/pieces (slats) have rubber caps on each end to eliminate metal/to/metal contact, which also eliminates noise. One downside is the supplied Allen wrenchs tend to be soft, and the recesses in the bolt heads are rather shallow which adds up to the wrench tip slipping when trying to tighten things up. A quality, hardened Allen wrench / two actually, would be worth having, as well as a small Crescent wrench to hold the small, self/locking nuts. Overall, this beds appears capable of holding up to the flopping, tossing, thrashing, and flouncing antics of a 200 lb. teenager!
