This rebounder met all my expectations. The foldable feature requires removal of all six legs, so I just lean it against the wall instead. The 40/inch dimension is the outside diameter. The mat itself is 26 in diameter // quite adequate for me. I like the substantial steel springs, well covered by the outer skirt, and the red warning rim at the edge of the mat. Im well satisfied with my purchase, and would do it again.
