Tall enough (w mattress) to sit comfortably and put your shoes. Love the storage space underneath.
When assembling, take your time!! It's easy to put stuff on backwards so pay close attention to the detailed instructions.
There was ONE bolt that was a struggle bc the frame was not threaded all the way through. Good thing I was able to start the bolt and torque it.
