Oldest moved out and it was time to paint. Decided to get rid of the old wooden headboard and started hunting for something simple and clean for our teenage daughter. This fit the bill. The price was right.
Received it a week sooner than the expected delivery date and it took about 2.5 hours for me to assemble.
Instead of the included tools, I used an allen head bit in a screwdriver, a 10 mm wrench and a 1/2 wrench. This sped the process up quite a bit. I also used blue thread locker on all of the screws. I think this will pay off later. The instructions were just pictures, but were easy to follow since everything was well labeled.
It feels super solid even with its light weight. I love that we can part ways with the old, dusty box spring and that there is room for storage underneath. A younger child whos prone to jumping on the bed will surely loosen up some of the fittings at the headboard and footboard, but I think thats true of any bed of this style.
Ill update if it falls apart, but i just dont see that happening.
