Im so glad I did my research before making this purchase. If you have one of those beds in a box (any type of foam - latex, memory, hybrid types etc.) the right type of platform bed is necessary. Check with the manufacturer to find what type you need. Youll need to know things like weight capacity and how far the slats on the platform are spaced. For the latex foam Im buying I need one with spacing no more than 3 inches apart. This bed frame more than meets that and its very sturdy. Im using it now with an old Sealy mattress without a box spring and already noticed more support. My old bed was sagging in the middle some. After taking it apart I realized now that the problem really had to do with the box spring and the metal frame it sat on. There was virtually no support with that old metal frame that was used with the old traditional box springs. Sure you may spend a little more for a frame like this but its worth it. Ill sleep on this for another 6 months and give an update.
P.S. It really was easy to assemble. I read the instructions along with the diagrams and then watched the video. The video was helpful because I never put together something with dowels and I had no problem after watching that you tube video.
