ETA 6/30/21: Sweet Pea loves hiding in her room during this historic heat dome.
I like this cat tree. Its functional, and sturdy, and matches my salt oak furniture so it isnt as much of an eye sore as some of the others. The engineered wood paneling gives it a more sterile, utilitarian vibe than some of the others that look like someone turned a poodle into Dr. Seuss topography. That may look less inviting to some cats but apparently mine prefer harder surfaces (like countertops, grr!) It should also be noted the top basket is not wide enough for the averaged sized adult cat to stretch out in, but is perfect for warming them beans. Total unpacking and assembly took less than an hour. As you can probably see, my little Sweet Pea was previously operating under the totally understandable misassumption that the couch was her scratching post. Time will tell it this helps retrain her brain, but at the very least she immediately decided it would do as a throne. I will update accordingly.
Prettier than your average cat tree
