Wood seems to be a mix between cheap (knotty) pine and decent quality plywood. Finish is a very thin layer of some kind of clear coat (lacquer?). Some of the through-holes werent quite big enough, but my impact driver was able to power through them. If I only used the included allen wrench, I wouldve had problems.
I dont like that the 2 middle legs on each side stick out ~3/4, and have already stubbed my toe on one.
I will have to add more slats because there is about 5 spacing between the ones included, which is probably too much for all types of mattresses, much less my soft hybrid mattress.
Decent for the price. Needs more slats.
