Really great, cost-effective piece for my living room/entryway.
To start, I have a decent eye for quality control on cheap case goods (hard furniture, because I used to work at Furniture and look on in horror at the defects the lines would pass off--incentive pay at its finest.
This table is extremely impressive. Looking over every piece, the foil and edgebands were almost flawless. Well-chamfered edges, sturdy construction...I could go on. Its a really pretty piece and its a great addition to the home I just purchased. My mom bought it for me, but clearly she didnt have to pay much. That price would make a far lower-quality piece worth it, and this one surpasses most other cheap brands Ive dealt with.
The ONLY defect I found was a large piece (~2-3 square inches) on the BOTTOM of the top piece where the foil had peeled. However, they actually took the time to sand it down so that no peeling edges were left--no risk of it getting any worse. That impressed me, and it would have sailed right through the line at without a finger lifted to fix it.
I wouldnt knock off more than 0.1 stars even if I could, because it was on the bottom--completely invisible unless you take the drawers out and crouch down. Id rather use it than have that whole piece scrapped, anyway.
So 4.9 out of 5 stars.
