I mean, it's functional and hasn't fallen apart yet. Pain in the butt to put together, parts didn't quite line up right so each chair has a small wobble, and for gods' sake don't lean on the table or you'll topple it. But if you don't look too closely it looks nice, so if you don't want to pay $1000 for a set then sure, this will work for a few years before it falls apart (I hope). I agree with others that it's more brown than black also, but I guess that's fine for my decor.
