The headboard is MUCH lower than it appears in the picture and a darker grey than I expected. It is an attractive peace, however, when you add the bed pillows, you cannot see the headboard at all. My husband purchased three boards, attached the top of the boards to the headboard and attached the bottom of the boards to the frame to raise the headboard....THEN, I wrapped the boards in felt fabric I found at Walmart (about $3.00 worth). The bed frame now looks very nice, but it it is not for the faint of heart to make it look like it does in the picture. This is not an as is purchase! I am satisfied with the end result only because I have a creative and talented husband! Ive included a photo of the bed after the reconstruction.
