    Budget Office Chair

The word budget comes with a list of less than superior features. I would not purchase another of these chairs, but it is sufficient for now, depending on how long it holds up. The assembly, while not very difficult, did not respond very well. Numerous pre/threaded screws would not tighten fully. Hand tight with the supplied tool seemed to be too much, and several of them would not tighten at all. They did not align very well. I work on cars and am very experienced with properly starting and tightening a screw to avoid stripping or cross/threading. The chair has budget hardware, and it showed from the beginning. Once assembled, the chair is comfortable enough, but after just a few days of use, began squeaking and creaking annoyingly. It was necessary to turn the chair over and lubricate where it was possible, but some of the noise actually comes from inside of the seat itself where it attaches to the base. Additionally, the arms had to be retightened (the screws that would tighten), and at this point, I dont feel that they will remain intact for years by any means. They wobble, and I surely would not use them to lift the chair. So overall, for now, its useable and comfortable. The assembly wasnt difficult, but not an overall well engineered pre/assemble plan nor hardware. Definitely a good price, but nowhere near five stars either. Far more trouble to consider dis/assembly and returning than its worth, so for now, Ill live with it, but plan that Ill probably need to be replacing it with a better than budget office chair in a less than reasonable time. This chair is probably not what you want if you need to use it constantly. Everything works on it/the rocking function, lumbar support, comfortable seat, and hydraulic seat lift, but it creaks badly while you sit in it, the arms do not securely fasten and therefore are loose, and the plastic that is meant to cover the joint of the five arms at the base might as well not been included. No way will it stay on without gluing. Oh well, you get what you pay for lives on.
