Not easy to put together, but not bad

For the price, this is actually a fairly comfortable chair, but it does have a few overall flaws, mostly with the design and especially with assembly. One of the greatest areas lack is in support for the back. The entire chair comes packed into the back piece, except for the seat. As a result, theres a huge, hollow area in the back rest, which you feel when you lean back. I suppose I could fill it with foam or something, it would be nice if they just put it in a slightly bigger box (like the giant one ships in), and stuffed the back. Construction has two big flaws. First, you have to assemble the star shaped piece that holds the wheels. It has five bolts. The instructions say to check and tighten these every 90 days. You snap a cover on over them. So, to check and tighten these, which are on the bottom of the chair... you are expected to flip it over (as an FYI, when you do this, the chair falls off the air/lift), remove the plastic cover, tighten and redo it. Not going to happen, and we all know that. So, if you have this design element that requires impossible maintenance for safety... why not just eliminate it and make this a solid piece, like most every chair Ive ever owned? Second, the back of the chair bolts on using four bolts to the two arm rests. Youve got to press the arm to the back hard in order to get the bolts in. And, youve got to get all four of them aligned just right on mine, the leather cover covered two of the holes, and they werent properly cut. I had to tear it to get the bolts in. Seems like there should be a better way to do it. Frankly, deeper sockets and longer bolts would have done it, too. Once its all together, though, it is fairly comfortable, except for that hollow back thing. It does seem mostly sturdy, except that the chair doesnt click onto the air lift very well // so, if you lean too far back, the seat part of it might come off the wheels. Overall, you get what you pay for, and this was a very Basic chair.
