It's very hard to assemble since the screws are in diagonally and fairly deep. The tools they give are really useful. We used a drill for some of the parts, but some parts are incredibly tedious.
One tip is at the end, when securing the seat, screw it in just a little. Then have someone sit on the chair, make sure the seat is stable, then screw the rest in from the bottom.
The seats are great once assembled. They're very comfy, super sleek, well made, and we love them.
