The umbrella came in a long shipping box that was light enough for one person to move to the back patio. Shipping time was longer than I expected but probably due to COVID issues. Upon opening the package, the instructions for installation was pretty self/explanatory. It took about five minutes from opening the box to having a patio umbrella working. (completely unlike some convoluted IKEA piece with drawers involved) The umbrella is large enough to fully cover a big table with six seats. You will need a separate base with weight or something when its fully expanded, especially if it is windy outside. It stands on its own when folded and has remained standing through some stormy nights.
