Works for the first week, then the legs bend and break.
I am not happy that I have to write a negative reviewI always try to look at the positives of any given situation/hurdle, but remaining positive has been hard.
My partner and I purchased this bed specifically because it did not have any wooden slats/was not made out of wood in general. We avoided any bed frame made with/out of wood because we have had bed bugs 4 times and have been extremely scared and financially drained from each incident. Our research and local exterminators both pointed to furniture being the best possible option to avoid a re/infestation, so we bought this frame in the hope that our problem would be finally over.
It came in the mail fairly quickly and assembly took about an hour (which is what some other reviews of this bed said). Initially, we were incredibly happy with it: our problem was going away, we finally had a bed frame that we could safely put our mattress on, and our nightmare seemed to be coming to a close. Unfortunately, we had the bed frame for a little over a week and we noticed that the 5 smaller legs supporting the bottom began to slant and bend leftwards. We readjusted the tightness of the legs and thought that we would be okay. Unfortunately, they only kept, and continue to, bend; the one left leg (closest to the middle leg) broke and the outermost right leg is very close to breaking now, too. We ended up having to purchase some PVC piping, saw it to the legs lengths, and insert them under the bed. We also purchased some pads to help with the pressure and to not scratch up the floor. This was a very temporary solution because after a day the legs went back to bending and we are afraid that more will break.
I wish that I could say that this bed is aming, but we are going to have to find another frame of some sortsI truly hate that I have to write something like this because its not in my nature to be negative I am not sure what other solution that we can do/use to try and salvage this frame. It is a beautiful colour and style and we were truly hoping that this would be the end of our situation but, unfortunately, it was not.
If anyone knows of any potential solutions (not wood related) to try and salvage this frame, please let me know.
