The dog and everyone else who sits on this are ecstatic over the softness. I like how it doesnt really look like a , so much as a velvet sofa itself. Two things, though. 1) Because the fabric is so soft, it will slide out and look messy UNLESS you try my aming trick for keeping it in place. I took grippy shelf liner that comes in a roll and cut in long pieces, rolled them up grippy side out. I then shoved these pieces in between the cushion back and sides where this tucks in. I pushed them all the way down as far as they will go. Now, this stays in place perfectly! We had a big family gathering yesterday and it got a LOT of action, and still looks perfect. 2) The super soft velvet fabric does shed a lot of soft fuzz, especially with lots of action. Im OK with that and just vacuum it up with a mini vac every few days. If you are bothered by a lot of fuzz in an active household, you may want to choose a different fabric. But for me, its totally worth it for its softness and good looks.
